“I have been coming to this lovely place for years. I'm big on tortilla soup, and they have the best! The patio is great, margaritas are tops, and the staff is very attentive!”
— Lisa E.
Everyone in Austin should have a go-to Tex-Mex spot. For residents of Landing at Round Rock, Mesa Rosa is the best option. The first thing you’ll notice about this place is the beautiful artwork surrounding the building. The second thing you’ll notice — once you’re seated — is that they make all their food from scratch. If you’re in the mood for some affordable, authentic Tex-Mex, look no further!
“This place is AMAZING. The lobster roll (both Main and Connecticut style) along with the tomato soup, and whoopie was absolutely DELICIOUS!! The staff is friendly and personable and the place itself is beautiful.”
— Tiya H.
Garbo’s started out as a food truck, but they’ve since expanded into a beautiful space that looks a lot better from the inside than it does from the outside. The lobster rolls are only $10 on Saturdays, and they’re served with crunchy bread and warm butter. Everyone on Yelp loves this place, and everyone on Yelp can’t be wrong!
As with any Tex-Mex location you always judge on the salsa and I like theirs. It has a good balance of cilantro, spice, and texture; additionally, it matched well with freshly warm chips that were crisp and strong enough to hold a good dip and scoop.
— Troy H.
We should all thank Troy for his stellar review of the salsa at Santiago’s. He’s right that bad salsa is a dealbreaker, and we’re glad that we don’t have to worry about that at this Tex-Mex spot just up the road from Landing at Round Rock! Santiago’s is a great bet for anyone hoping to find an affordable lunch spot in the neighborhood. We love this place for their huge portions, and you’ll love having leftovers to eat after work!
